A highly regarded Houston law firm is looking to add an experienced construction litigation attorney to its team. This is an opportunity for a senior-level attorney to take on sophisticated commercial construction disputes and play a meaningful role in managing matters from start to finish.

The Opportunity

• Handle complex construction litigation matters involving commercial construction projects.
• Take ownership of matters and work directly with clients and other attorneys on the team.
• Represent sophisticated clients in construction-related disputes and litigation.
• Handle matters through various stages of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, dispositive motions, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Work on substantive construction disputes rather than an insurance-defense-focused practice.
• Join an established construction practice with the opportunity to take on significant responsibility and continue building a long-term construction litigation practice.

Ideal Background

• 8+ years of litigation experience, with senior associate or senior counsel-level experience.
• Experience representing owners, developers, general contractors, contractors, or other construction industry clients.
• Strong experience managing litigation matters with a high degree of independence.
• Trial and/or arbitration experience is a plus.
• Must have meaningful construction litigation experience; insurance defense alone will not be a fit.
