Construction Field Superintendent(Rigging Experience) - Construction (CO103)ProSidian Seeks a Construction Field Superintendent(Rigging Experience) - Construction (CO103) (Procurement Services / Building 707-9B Rm11 / Aiken, SC 29859 | MID LEVEL - HR) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation (SRR)) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.Safety is a primary responsibility in each job performed. Obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task. Take the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition.Construction Specific Responsibilities:Assists Field Managers in directing the actual construction of multiple capital projects to their overall successful completion and DOE satisfaction.Serves as a member of the project team and design review board for each project from inception to closeout and ensures the highest quality, most economical, timely, and practical design and construction product possible.Coordinates construction outage schedules, cost controls, priorities, and planning with project / construction management and plant schedulers to achieve successful project implementation.Resolves quality control and quality assurance issues and recommends corrective action if necessary.Coordinates with design / construction engineering for scheduling of design outputs and provides design with necessary input to resolve design changes and improve constructability.Promotes increased productivity and safe work practices with the intent of maximizing use of resources and eliminating injuries.Fosters a "team concept" when interfacing with operations, DOE, other departments and divisions and attend scheduled and unscheduled meetings, provide reports, status on projects and identify, address and resolve problems.Reviews and approves job plans, permits, material requisitions for capital expenditures, schedules/schedule changes and miscellaneous other documents ensuring accuracy, practicality, economics, and impact on other projects.Manages a staff of personnel assigned to capital projects and maintenance orders and attending to their development, training, evaluations, career progression and problems.Identifies and acts on engineering and material restraints to critical jobs through meetings, discussions, reports and verifies that proper tools are in place to clear restraints.Design output constructability reviews:Review design output and vendor documentsField walk down with construction engineersVerify design constructability including procedure and code complianceVerify field conditions vs. Design outputVerify material availabilitySubmit constructability commentsTrack comments to resolutionWork Execution Field Coverage & Support:Lead pre-job briefings with craft workersPerform task ready walk down with craftVerify quantities of installed commoditiesCoordinate daily field supportExpedite / validate needed material as requiredCoordinate and status shop fabrication in support of field executionPerform field inspectionsIdentify and coordinate resolution of field installation issuesQualifications- Understanding of Hoisting and Rigging Standards - Interpretation of Hoisting and Rigging Standards - Execution of Hoisting and Rigging Standards - In-depth knowledge of construction safety, planning, the ability to evaluate technical design data, develop and determine construction techniques and strategies.- Manage a multi-disciplined staff In a proactive, value added manner.- Working knowledge of national codes and standards.- Working knowledge of environmental regulations- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least 8 years of practical experience in construction management / supervision.- Associate's degree in a technical discipline and at least 12 years of practical experience in construction management / supervision.

SRS Construction utilizes a 10 hour per day - four days per week schedule.- A standard work week is Monday through Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm.
