Construction Field Service TechnicianConstruction Field Service Technicians oversee the building of highways, bridges, utilities, and other infrastructure for municipal, commercial, industrial, residential, and land development projects. Essential functions include calculating dimensions, drafting detailed dimensional drawings, analyzing site factors, reading project plans, preparing reports, collaborating with supervisors, inspecting sites, conducting field surveys, and performing manual labor.Required traits and characteristics include the ability to plan and complete projects within budgets and timelines, strong communication skills, and a customer service orientation. The position requires working outside on job sites, potentially exposed to extreme temperatures.Organizational relationships include reporting directly to the Lead Construction Technician.Required education/experience includes a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred education/experience includes an associate's degree or higher, 2+ years of related experience, and related certifications.Travel includes being based in Benton Harbor, with daily local travel to job sites (+/- 50 miles) and occasional regional travel (>75 miles).
