Construction Estimator

Cathedra Services is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for both interior and exterior projects throughout New York City. Our work includes commercial fit-outs, residential renovations, facade restoration, structural repairs, and building envelope projects.

Responsibilities
• Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements.
• Attend site visits to evaluate existing conditions, take measurements, and clarify scope.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, assign unit pricing, and estimate labor, materials,
equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare estimates at various stages of project development, from preliminary budgets to
final bids.
• Solicit and compare supplier and subcontractor proposals for pricing and scope coverage.
• Prepare bids with clearly defined scope, allowances, exclusions, and pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, construction challenges, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Review estimates for overall accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Manage estimating schedules to meet bid deadlines.
• Prepare change order estimates and maintain organized estimating records.
• Enter and manage estimating information in JobTread.

Qualifications
• Previous construction estimating experience with a general contractor.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, trade scopes, and NYC project
conditions.
• Strong organizational, communication, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and competing deadlines.
• Experience with facade restoration, building envelopes, and occupied-building
renovations.
• Proficiency in JobTread, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Employment Type: Full Time
Compensation: 100-110K
