Job DescriptionMortenson is seeking an experienced Electrical Manager II to join our Solar group, to provide electrical technical support throughout construction projects, interacting with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment with professionalism and efficiency.If you're looking for a challenging opportunity to use your electrical expertise while leading a project team on utility scale solar projects, then this is the right role for you.Location: Must be open to any location in the continental United States.Travel: This is a 100% travel position; locations may vary based on the project. Mortenson hires for a career and not a project. When your project is complete you will be assigned to another project.Responsibilities:Provide technical electrical support to crews and subcontractorsSupervise self-perform crewsIdentify and maintain a list of qualified electrical contractors and engineersReview design documents for conformance and resolve issuesImplement best practices and low-cost alternatives; keep clients informedCoordinate with departments to support project schedulesWork with Project Managers on budgeting, forecasting, and managing resourcesCoach, mentor, and train field personnelImplement Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety ProgramQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent fieldMinimum eight years of electrical construction management and/or electrical design experienceMinimum two years of experience with project completion from mobilization to turnoverProficiency in medium and high voltage technical knowledgeSpecialized knowledge/experience in electrical control, substations, t-line, etc.Current driver's licenseKnowledge of NEC code and NE safety codeStrong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skillsDetail-oriented to manage multiple project tasksBasic understanding of construction law and business practicesIntermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Project, and web applicationsPositive, professional attitude with strong customer service skillsAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesActive listening skills and effective communicationAbility to travel up to 100%A few benefits offered include:Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverageDental plan401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leavesEmployer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insuranceNo-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursementAdoption AssistanceGym Membership Discount ProgramThe base pay range for this role is $144,300 MIN - $216,500 MAX.

(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.Visa sponsorship is offered for this position.Our postings are typically open a minimum of 5 days and an average of 44 days.Mortenson reserves the right to hire any individual without legal or financial obligation on unwanted solicitations.
