Role Description The Construction Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC. This position oversees the financial management of construction projects, including job cost accounting, budget creation and monitoring, and analysis of project profitability. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing contracts and change orders for financial accuracy, managing accounts payable and receivable related to projects, and reconciling project costs with the general ledger. The Construction Controller prepares regular financial reports for leadership, supports cash flow forecasting, and collaborates with project managers to track progress against budgets. This role also implements and maintains internal controls, supports audit and compliance needs, and helps refine financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Strong construction accounting expertise needed, WIP.
• Proficiency with accounting software and construction management systems; advanced skills in spreadsheets and financial reporting tools.
• Knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, MS Office and compliance practices relevant to construction and contracting environments.
• Ability to interpret contracts, change orders, and invoices, and ensure accurate coding and documentation of project-related transactions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. xhqgsiq
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with project managers, leadership, vendors, and clients.
