I seek ways to be extraordinary and deliver a positive impact every day.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Performing basic accounting procedures, e.g. A/R, A/P, time billing, G/L, tax paymentsPerforming month end and quarterly closing (e.g. bank reconciliation, month-end interest accruals, allocating G&A across projects, credit card reconciliation)Preparing trial balances and other financial statements as requested (balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements)Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accountsAssisting Accounting Manager with annual financial auditsPreparing wires, ACHs and check requests when neededPerforming analysis of operations on a regular basis e.g. preparing budget to actuals by home, tracking expenses and change orders by home / projectManaging multiple cash accounts daily to ensure adequate liquidityEnsuring all active projects are covered by valid, binding contractsSubmitting bank draws to the banks on a bi-monthly basis, as well as maintaining communication with lenders and scheduling appraisals for drawsCommunicating with clients in order to collect on cash drawsClosing out project accounts upon home/project completionOther Assignments and Special Projects:Support special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as assigned.Provide guidance and informal supervision to staff accountants as needed.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred but not required2+ years construction accounting experience is preferredStrong organization, oral and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects, deadlines, and companies requiring separate GLs and expense trackingStrong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft Excel as well as experience with QuickBooks Enterprise and Builder Trend preferredAnalytical skills with particular attention to detailEntrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work well in a team settingApproximate Schedule and Hours: Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates.Licenses and Certifications: Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
