Senior Artificial Intelligence Data Scientist – Technology Consulting

Location: New York, NY – Employer: Ernst & Young U.S. LLP.

Role Summary

Lead the design and execution of advanced analytics solutions for EY clients, leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning and data engineering to deliver actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Design analytics models and review design with management.
  • Coordinate data needs and develop detailed execution plans, including model build and validation.
  • Assign tasks and coach junior team members.
  • Perform first‑level review of models, results and insights.
  • Summarize insights and present to client stakeholders after manager/senior manager review.
  • Track progress, identify issues and risks, and mitigate or escalated to project leadership.
  • Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members.
  • Consistently deliver high‑quality client services on complex, judgmental and specialised issues.
  • Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
  • Learn about EY services and actively assess ways to apply knowledge to client engagements.

Employment Details

Full‑time; Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm; 40 hours per week.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning or related field with 2 years of related work experience; OR Master’s degree in a related field with 1 year of related work experience.
  • Professional experience: 1 year in external advisory, external consulting or customer success.
  • Hands‑on experience (minimum 1 year) in AI, machine learning, data science or data engineering.
  • 1 year experience working with Python.
  • 1 year combined experience using at least two of the following generative AI models/frameworks (e.g., OpenAI family, Open‑source LLMs, DALL‑E, LlamaIndex, LangChain, Retrieval Augmented Generation, Anthropic family).
  • 1 year experience using DevOps tools (GIT, Azure DevOps) and Agile tools to develop and deploy analytical solutions.
  • 1 year experience designing, building and maintaining machine‑learning models, frameworks, and pipelines; deploying end‑to‑end ML workflows on at least one major cloud platform.
  • 1 year experience with data manipulation tools/libraries: SQL, Pandas or Spark.
  • 1 year experience with containerization and scaling models, and integrating models and feedback into downstream systems.
  • Requires travel up to 80 % of the time, including up to 10 % international.
  • Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
