Connectivity Network EngineerWe are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support enterprise connectivity services for mission-critical financial platforms. This role will focus on WAN, Internet Edge, and B2B connectivity, providing hands-on engineering support for a team managing critical infrastructure. The position is for a self-starter who can drive work independently, balance engineering with lifecycle management, and contribute to the modernization of complex global networks in a regulated, high-availability environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on engineering for WAN and edge network operations, primarily on Juniper and Cisco platforms.Manage Internet Edge and B2B Edge connectivity to external financial institutions, including NATs, ACLs, and carrier coordination.Handle the full solution lifecycle, including design reviews, hardware replacements (EOL/EOS), code upgrades, and bug scrubs.Support cloud-connected networking for multiple cloud implementations.Analyze network performance, capacity, and traffic trends to proactively implement improvements.Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, including standards, runbooks, and diagrams.Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and business partners to ensure solutions meet performance and security requirements.Engage with senior architects and participate in peer reviews, challenging designs respectfully when necessary.Required QualificationsExperience:5+ years of network engineering experience in large-scale enterprise environments.Proven background in WAN engineering with both Juniper and Cisco platforms.Hands-on experience with OSPF, BGP, MPLS, edge routing, and ACLs.Experience working with carriers and service delivery.Technical Skills:Proficiency with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE and JunOS.Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and enterprise routing concepts.Knowledge of network design best practices, performance engineering, and troubleshooting.Professional Attributes:A self-starter mentality with the ability to drive work independently.Strong communication and documentation skills.Ability to work both tactically and strategically within a collaborative team.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the financial services industry.Python or other automation experience for tasks like interface provisioning and configuration generation.Cisco and/or Juniper certifications are valued but not required; real-world experience is prioritized.Work EnvironmentThis position requires a hybrid work schedule, with three days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
