Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $65.00/hr

Legalpeople, a national leader in legal recruiting and staffing, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conflicts Attorney/Analyst for a temporary contract with one of our esteemed law firm clients. This fully remote position offers a competitive hourly rate of $60-65/hour, is an immediate need and expected to continue into the new year.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive conflicts checks for new business, lateral hires, and other firm activities.
• Analyze and resolve potential conflicts of interest, adhering to firm policies and ethical guidelines.
• Draft and review conflict waivers and other necessary documentation.
• Utilize conflicts management software (e.g., Intapp Open) and other online research tools to ensure accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff across various practice areas to facilitate conflict clearance and provide guidance on professional responsibility matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing license to practice law in the District of Columbia (DC) is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of dedicated conflicts analysis and resolution experience within a law firm setting.
• Proficiency in conflicts management databases and online research tools.
• Strong analytical, communication (written and verbal), and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a demanding workload in a remote environment.
• Candidates with more senior experience are also encouraged to apply.
