This role ensures that all engineering, systems, software, and hardware changes are properly documented, evaluated, and maintained. The ideal candidate will work closely with Engineering, IT, QA, Manufacturing, and Operations to ensure effective and compliant configuration management practices.The Day-to-DayDefine and execute configuration management plans for engineering programs, ensuring alignment with company standardsEvaluate and route engineering change requests (ECRs), ensuring they are properly documented, reviewed, approved, and communicated across teamsManage and lead configuration control meetings (CCB), including scheduling, agenda setting, and driving decisions to closeAssess risk and impact of proposed design changes and communicate findings to decision-makersEnsure data accuracy and traceability in all configuration documentation, including change requests and implementation checklistsReview technical documents for completeness and determine required corrective follow-upMaintain configuration data throughout the product lifecycle to ensure compliance with release standardsPrepare and validate configuration data required for major design gate reviews (PDR, CDR, FRR)Model best practices in SolidWorks PDM and recommend workflow adjustments to improve efficiencyDevelop and provide training to promote effective management processesIdentify and contribute to process improvements that enhance configuration accuracy and efficiencyEnsure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations (AS9100, EIA-649, MIL-STD-973, ISO-9001, ITAR/EAR)This is an on-site opportunity.What You'll NeedAssociate degree in a related field2–5 years of experience in configuration management or a similar roleUnderstanding of configuration management principles and product development processesExperience with PLM or PDM tools for configuration managementStrong analytical skills and close attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear recommendationsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to build trust and work professionally across teamsU.S. Person required due to access to export-controlled dataPreferred Qualifications:Aerospace industry experienceTechnical writing experienceSolidWorks PDM proficiencyExperience with ERP systemsPay range for this role: $80,000 - $112,000 USDWhat's in it for you:Competitive total compensation packageComprehensive benefit package options include medical, dental, vision, life, and more.401k with company-match4 weeks of paid time off each year12 annual company holidaysWhy Join Zone 5 Technologies?Innovative Environment: Work on cutting-edge technology that is shaping the future of defense and aerospace.Collaborative Culture: Join a team of passionate professionals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible.Career Growth: Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.If you are passionate about unmanned aircraft technology and want to be a part of a dynamic and growing company, we would love to hear from you.
