Configuration Management AnalystSenior level Configuration Technician with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager experience to serve as technical subject matter expert (SME) and be responsible for assessing software patches, creating recommended patch list for routine maintenance, testing, deployment and validation of security and update packages, end point antivirus, anti-malware and vulnerability tools and scanning, mobile device and end point anti-virus, anti-malware technologies within the department including iPads, iPhones, Androids, tablets, and other mobile devices. Knowledge in the use of appropriate security controls and software to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information technology resources. Knowledge of vulnerability management tools and information security procedures. Supports and handles technical escalations, deploying enterprise mobile applications, and implement user-appropriate configurations.
Evaluates and manages system security across the enterprise. Manage cloud-based systems and patching tools for remote device management. Develop and optimize pre- and post- patching process to ensure proper implementation without any outages. Coordinate patch schedule with other teams such as Workstation Support group, Network Support group, InfoSec, and IT Management.
Communicate delivery and completion metrics through Microsoft reporting tools. Will monitor system endpoints for security threats or unauthorized users. Analyze security risks and develops appropriate responses. Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring patching efforts.
Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware configuration and patching requirements. Produces builds of products for use in testing and in production; identifies and implements processes to strengthen, streamline and automate build processes; serves as an advocate for best practices.Job DutiesWork in conjunction with the Department’s Configuration and Patch Management group to develop application deployments, routine software, and operating system patch deployments via SCCM.Work in conjunction with the Department’s Patch Management and Configuration Team in identifying secure configurations for standard FDOT products. Provide support/information as needed for implementation of secure baselines through package roll out and/or group policy. After implementation of secure baselines, use tools to review and ensure compliance with established baselines.Responsible for the administration and maintenance of endpoint vulnerability products, endpoint vulnerability risk reporting, and routine endpoint vulnerability scanningRequired ExperienceExperience working with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager is Required.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Information Security or another related field; or equivalent work experience.Knowledge in the use of appropriate security controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information technology resources.Knowledge of, and experience with, various computing technologies such as, but not limited to: Windows, Windows Server, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)Knowledge of vulnerability management tools.Desired ExperienceExperience with Microsoft Intune and vulnerability scanning tools such as Malwarebytes is highly desired.Four years of professional experience in configuring Information Systems highly desired.
