Concrete Foreman

Overview
SW Funk Industrial Contractors is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead industrial concrete crews on projects throughout Virginia and the surrounding region. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for planning work, supervising crews, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe job site. Projects are typically located within a 4-hour drive of Richmond, VA.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews of 5–10 carpenters, finishers, and laborers
• Plan daily work activities and assign tasks
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Perform layout for concrete formwork and anchor bolts
• Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment
• Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification
• Complete daily reports, timesheets, and safety documentation
• Train and mentor crew members
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in industrial concrete or form carpentry
• 2+ years’ experience leading construction crews
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
• Experience with concrete forming, rebar, anchor bolts, concrete placement, and finishing
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel to regional job sites
