Job Title: Batch Plant Operator
Job Summary:
The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for managing the daily operations of the batch plant, including the mixing and production of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of batch processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and Control Operations : Oversee the batching process, ensuring that materials are mixed according to specifications and production schedules.
- Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on batching equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Quality Assurance : Conduct quality checks on materials and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of production data, including batch quantities, material usage, and equipment performance.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other team members and departments to optimize production processes and resolve any operational issues.
- Must have good communication skills
- Must pay attention to detail and demonstrate independent reasoning and judgment.
- Must have the ability to work in and contribute to production improvement, associate involvement and temporary teams as assigned.
- Will be exposed to plant production development, indoors and outdoors
- Exposed to elements cold, heat and humidity
- Regularly required walking, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, standing, reaching, bending and moving about the yard/facility.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- May handle potentially hazardous equipment and materials
- Occasional testing of equipment
- Work well alone
- Must exhibit flexibility, good attitude and dependability
