Concierge, Night ShiftSupervisor: Executive Director or Business Office ManagerFLSA Status: Hourly, non-exemptDate Approved: September 2021Overall Job PurposeStaff the reception desk. Monitors telephone, fax machine, resident call system, and exit alarm system. Performs clerical duties and other work as assigned.Minimum Job Qualifications and RequirementsMust be 18 years of ageAbility to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance and customer serviceDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with residents, guests, and staffMeet state related requirements (if applicable to position)Ability to work in a team setting and be a team playerMaintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach with coworkers and residents.Ability to keep all business and operations information confidentialPossess organizational skills and ability to problem solvePossess excellent customer service and public relations skillsAbility to work under time constraints and meet department deadlines while adhering to policies, procedures, and standardsAbility to periodically move about on foot in the community to perform security checks and assist residents, particularly for long distances or periods of timeExperience in computer use and relevant software applications are preferredSatisfactorily pass Sunshine's and state regulated criminal record clearance, health screening and TB clearance (if applicable)Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesComplete routine housekeeping duties including but not limited to the following: emptying trash, dust and vacuum, mopping, sweeping, restocking and cleaning bathroomsStaff the reception desk during assigned periodRepresents the Community to coworkers, residents, and visitors in professional, courteous, friendly mannerGraciously greets all residents and visitors and politely assists them as necessaryPerforms clerical duties as directedMaintains detailed Resident and guest Register, daily communication log entry, and completes daily checklist logMaintain a clean and safe workspace, community entrance, lobby, and hydration stationPromptly answers telephone, directing incoming communications to appropriate personMonitors fax machine, directing incoming communications to appropriate personPerforms frequent security checks to ensure safety of the Community and its residentsMonitors and responds to resident call and exit alarm systems and handles emergency procedures immediately.

Contacts 911 if necessary and notifies management and families if a resident requires assistanceMaintains inventory control system for all office supplies and notifies manager of any needed supplies; orders such supplies as directed by Assistant ManagerPerforms simple, routine maintenance of office equipmentPerform coffee service at dinnertime, if neededAssist the kitchen staff with shutting down kitchen after mealtime by closing and locking the doors and windows and turning off the lightsPrint and fold the weekly menu and monthly calendar and fold dining napkinsPerforms housekeeping functions in common area by vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets; removing cobwebs from ceilings and walls; and dusting furniture, shelves, light fixtures, and other surfacesPerform simple maintenance duties as needed for residents such as unclogging toilets, turning off water to leaking faucets, mopping up overflowing sinks or toilets, and delivering toilet paperPerforms other duties as assigned by SupervisorOther Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform all work assigned for the agreed-upon salary, accepting no additional payment or non-perishable gifts from residents, vendors, Community Management, or othersMeet the assigned work requirements of the job.
