Concessions SupervisorThe Concessions Supervisor position is responsible for providing excellent service to our event guests by supervising and supporting Non-Profit Organizations (NPO) and other Concession staff assigned to operating any concession stand.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotionsVerify concessions stands are stocked and operationally ready for business prior to eventsMaintain and verify concession stand inventory/product prior to, during, and after eventsMonitor and ensure the work area is clean prior kept clean and organizedWork with Non-Profit Organization (NPO) and other Concession staff prior to and throughout event by transferring in/out product, supervising the production of food items that are ready for sale, and verify inventory counts as event progressesMonitor and ensure general cleaning tasks are completed and meet all health and safety standardsUnderstand and be capable of ensuring that all company, state, county, and city guidelines are followed when preparing and serving food and/or alcoholic beveragesEnsure NPO and other Concession staff are accurately checking guest identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchasesEnforce and ensure all stand workers practice ServSafe food handling and safety proceduresPerforms other duties as required and/or assignedSupervisory Responsibilities:Monitor and effectively work with NPO and other Concessions staff to ensure guests are provided with the best possible experience and that food and beverage orders are fulfilled accurately and timely while adhering to company, state, county, and city guidelines.Provide instruction to NPO and other Concession staff as neededQualifications:Willingness and drive to exceed guest expectationsMust be personable, friendly and welcomingKnowledge of and ability to execute food and beverage orders accurately and instruct others on the proper processMust be able to prepare and serve food and beverage in a timely manner and instruct others on the proper processMust maintain a well-groomed appearance and good personal hygiene standardsSubject to credit and background screeningEducation and/or Experience:High School diploma or GED requiredExperience in concessions, bartending, catering, and/or other related food and beverage operations preferredPrior Supervisory experience is helpfulSkills and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsMust be personable and proactive in providing guests with the highest level of customer serviceAbility to effectively listen and take direction from Manager and provide direction to NPO and other Concession staffMust be able to work independently and in a team environment, interacting with multiple departmentsAbility to read, speak, and write English languageMust be able to communicate in a clear manner with guests and teammatesMust be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidaysComputer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate skill in utilizing Point of Sales systems with Inventory Control.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must have or obtain and maintain ServSafe training certificationPhysical Demands:Must be able to walk/stand extensively, bend, kneel, climb stairs, balance, and maneuver throughout the various areas and surfaces of the venueMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or occasionally more with assistanceWork inside and outside the building is required and may have some exposure to adverse conditionsMust be able to hear and speak to use a two-way radioWork flexible hours, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidaysNote:The responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
