Job Title: Computer Vision/Deep Learning Scientist (Various Levels)
Location: Atlanta, GA 30308 (HYBRID: 2x/Week onsite)
Contract duration: 6+ Months, Long-term.
Industry: Rail Transportation.
NOTES: If outside of the Atlanta area, the candidate can be fully remote.
What are our requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant industry experience (as a Computer Vision Scientist, Data Scientist, Research Scientist, Machine Learning Scientist, etc.), 3+ preferred; or proven qualifications.
- Excellent knowledge of Python and industry experience with PyTorch or other Deep Learning tools.
- Industry experience with Deep Learning (semantic segmentation, object detection, classification).
What will be your duties
- The candidate will be working on the Digital Train Inspection project.
- Design, develop, and implement novel computer vision algorithms for unique use cases.
- Design and build novel/custom Deep Learning architectures.
- Evaluate accuracy and quality of the designed models as well as data sources.
- Design and develop production-ready code.
- Coordinate with application development teams to integrate developed models with existing applications.
- Manage the complete model development life-cycle -- from requirements gathering to post-production support.
- Communicate results to colleagues, business partners, and senior management.
- Guide junior team members and oversee targeted research and team projects.
- Lead hiring efforts and candidate evaluation.
