Computer Operator – ConsultantThe State of South Carolina is seeking a Computer Operator – Consultant to join the Office of the State Treasurer's IT team. This position supports IT operations and end-user services in a professional, financial/banking environment.The selected consultant will provide both technical and customer support, ensuring smooth day-to-day technology operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and the ability to manage IT tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.Responsibilities:Provide IT customer support for end users, including assistance with MS Windows, MS Office, and local/network printing.Support conference room A/V connectivity and office network (wired and wireless).Perform IT operations functions such as information security audit research, vendor coordination, and asset management/inventory.Image and configure computers for deployment.Update and maintain team documentation, procedures, and knowledge base.Utilize a ticketing system to document and track all work activities.Required Skills & Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of hands-on IT End User Support experience.Proficiency in: Microsoft Windows 10 & 11Microsoft Office SuitePrinter installation and troubleshootingHardware and laptop supportPC imaging/building and deploymentStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated professionalism and dependability in a structured workplace.Preferred Skills:CompTIA A+ Certification (or equivalent)Experience with: End-user network supportInformation security practicesOn-site/in-person IT supportMicrosoft TeamsAsset management and IT inventory toolsITSM/Help Desk ticketing systemsBackground in banking, finance, legal, judicial, or accounting environments is a plus.***Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor.
