JOB DUTIES
- Monitor, maintain and control the movements of CNC Machines
- Strong knowledge of Haas Machines
- Operate CNC lathes, mills, set-up
- Recommend and assist in developing tooling and process documentation
- Train new hires/Crosstrain existing employees
- Inspect and measure parts to ensure quality standards are met
- Read, interpret and convert blueprints into end products using CNC
- programming codes
- Proper handling of measurement tools
- Maintain all equipment in good operating condition
- Safely perform all responsibilities with adherence to company policy
- Maintain accurate shop floor control system information
- Read detailed engineering documents such as prints, routing and process
- instructions
- Maintain safe and clean work area
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years machining experience or equivalent
- Functional experience in a department (CNC machining/Steel fabrication)
- Thorough understanding of program format
- Ability to read and edit programs in G-code
- Comprehensive knowledge of CNC machines and the programming languages used to access and control them
- Strong computer skills preferred – CAD/CAM software or Conversation software
- Lean training preferred
- Programming experience
- Experience in both Job shop (low volume/ high mix) and Production (high volume /
- low mix) business models
- High School diploma/GED required
- Associate degree preferred
