CNC Machinist

Naperville, IL | Full-Time, Direct Hire | 4-Day Work Week

We're supporting a well-established manufacturing company with more than three decades of industry success that specializes in producing high-precision products for customers across a variety of industrial markets. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team and help produce prototype and small-batch precision components in a clean, organized, climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines
• Produce prototype and small production-run parts from start to finish
• Install and remove fixtures, cutting tools, and workholding equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments
• Deburr, finish, and prepare parts for assembly or secondary operations
• Troubleshoot machining issues and identify opportunities for process improvement
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Support quality standards while working to tight tolerances

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience
• Experience operating CNC machining centers
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Forklift, pallet jack, or overhead crane experience is a plus
• Experience with Haas or DMG Mori equipment is preferred but not required
