Computer Network Defense AnalystThe Computer Network Defense (CND) Analyst will analyze, map, protect or discover vulnerabilities, intrusions, and threats in computer network systems. Conduct computer/network security. Conduct target development and understand all aspects of computer/network security, including firewall administration, encryption technologies and network protocols.Responsibilities may include:Develop mitigations to strengthen network defenses and protect against attacks on network infrastructure devices or systems.Support a wide range of data transport possibilities, such as traditional wired networks, wireless transport (including Wi-Fi and cellular), collaborative platforms such as video teleconferencing, and the hardware and software that enable it all.Develop expertise in networking protocols and architectures, cloud security, Internet of Things protocols, and advanced network security.Work as part of a team, with government, military, and contractor personnel to develop shared understanding of intelligence needs, mission relevance, and areas of expertise.Apply analytical skills to form hypotheses, critically assess and choose analysis techniques, then query, merge, enrich, evaluate, and pivot within data to attain and share insights.Distill, document, contextualize and share findings-including any new tradecraft developed with teammates, stakeholders, and intelligence consumers.LEVEL 1: Bachelors Degree + 2 years of experienceLEVEL 2: Bachelors Degree + 5 years of experienceLEVEL 3: Bachelors Degree + 8 years of experienceLEVEL 4: Bachelors Degree + 11 years of experienceDegree Field: Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (e.g., General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security).
