Requirements
- We require an active Secret clearance to start.
- We are looking for a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- We need at least 6 years of full-time professional computer engineering experience.
- We require 2 years of experience in one or more of these areas: requirements definition, system design parameters, concept of operations, risk assessment, productivity studies and analyses, performance analyses, test and evaluation, or post-delivery support.
- We require experience working in Linux-based environments.
- We need proficiency in Linux system administration, including configuration, troubleshooting, server health monitoring, permissions management, and security protocols.
- We require experience supporting the software application lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, implementation, final validation, and deployment into an engineering development model.
- We require experience maintaining consistent performance across a deployable software suite throughout its lifecycle.
- We require experience developing and maintaining system administration manuals and related technical documentation.
- We need experience conducting technical research and planning hardware/software replacement strategies to reduce obsolescence risk.
- We are looking for strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving skills.
- We require effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment third-party background check.
Responsibilities:
- We conduct research, development, design, integration, testing, and lifecycle support for computer-based, electronic, and embedded systems that support advanced naval technologies and engineering development efforts.
- We support field operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance for electronic installations and engineering development systems.
- We evaluate operational systems and recommend design changes to resolve malfunctions, improve performance, or address evolving system requirements.
- We use computer-assisted engineering and design tools to perform engineering and systems integration work.
- We support Linux-based engineering and operational environments, including system setup, troubleshooting, permissions, and security administration.
- We manage requirements gathering, software development coordination, testing, and implementation of software and code into the FOROPS Engineering Development Model for final validation.
- We ensure software releases meet deployable standards and maintain lifecycle consistency of deployed software suite performance.
- We conduct technical research and planning to proactively reduce hardware and software obsolescence risks.
- We may provide technical guidance to less experienced team members and support the training and development of junior staff.
- We may lead limited engineering tasks assigned to junior personnel.

This role supports advanced naval technologies and engineering development efforts in a technical environment focused on Linux-based systems, software lifecycle support, and systems integration.
We offer a salary range of $94,000 to $130,000, with pay determined by qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and the scope of the role.
