Role Overview
Seeking three entry-level CAD Technicians to support distribution permitting work in Richmond. Approximately 10% of the role will involve fielding distribution poles, with the remainder focused primarily on CAD and permitting support.
Must-Haves
- Recent graduate from a CAD, drafting, engineering technology, or similar program
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or comparable CAD software
- Comfortable working onsite five days per week in Richmond
- Willing and able to perform occasional distribution pole fielding
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established drafting standards
Day-to-Day
- Create and update CAD drawings
- Support permitting packages for distribution projects
- Review drawings and project documentation for accuracy
- Perform distribution pole fielding approximately 10% of the time
- Coordinate with project and permitting teams to address drawing updates
The ideal candidate is a recent graduate with foundational CAD skills who is eager to gain hands-on experience supporting utility distribution and permitting projects. This individual should be dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in both office and field environments, and able to collaborate effectively with project teams
