Computer Aided Design Drafter

Akkodis, Inc. is seeking a CAD Drafter for an onsite role with an industry leader near Aurora, OH. The CAD Drafter will work in Solid Edge to create 2D mechanical drawings. Qualifications include 3+ years of experience in mechanical CAD drafting or design.

Salary Range: $25-28 per hour; salary negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

CAD Drafter Job Responsibilities Include:

• Create detailed 2D mechanical drawings based on 3D designs created by engineers.
• Use CAD software to generate 2D drawings of components and sub-assemblies.
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to product requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with team members to review and revise drawings as needed.
• Prepare and maintain documentation within PLM related to drawing changes, revisions, and approvals.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with industrial products as a CAD drafter, with proficiency in CAD tools (Solid Edge preferred) and knowledge of drafting standards and practices.
• Experience with PLM systems (Team Center preferred), with an understanding of revision control is a plus.
• Communication and teamwork skills.
