Radiology Xray/CT TechnicianCertifications: BLS, ARRT (R). Prefer someone CT certified but not required.Scanners: 1 Xray room, 1 Portable, and 1 CT scanner.Coverage Areas: Inpatient, ER, Outpatient, and Nursing Home.Common Imaging Types: Xray: General, extremities, spines, chest. CT: Strokes, traumas, CTA, AAA dissection. Dexa: Travelers not required to have experience or perform. No Fluoro, arthrograms, or Barium.Experience: Need to have CT and Xray experience. Must be willing to learn and perform EKGs.

Must be willing to learn and ask questions. Okay with first time travelers.Average # of scans per day: Varies, at times they are very busy and at times they are slow.EMR: Meditech. PACS- Merge Catapult.Department Specific Equipment: CT: Cannon Aquillon Prime SP. Xray: Carestream. EKG: Mortara (needs to be willing to learn).Radiology Manager: Beth; available during the day.Do they use RRA's: No, but uses VRAD for stat and routine reads.Radiologist in-house?: On site a maximum of 2 hours per week; available by phone 24/7.Do they have to start IV's: Not required, but if proficient can be signed off to perform them.Shifts & Scheduling: 5 – 8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Call required: could be on call nights or weekends as needed (approx 1 night/week and 1 weekend/month).

Variable start times: 7, 7:30, & 8. Last clock-out is at 1730. Scheduled is made by the manager. 12 hours shift not available for this position.Weekend Requirements: Weekend Call; 1 weekend call shift per month; starts 1730 on Friday to 0700 on Monday.Holiday Requirements: May be asked to go in the Holiday Rotation.Call or Standby requirement: Weeknight call approx 1x per week starting at 1730. 15-min response time, should be within 20 mins of the hospital to get there on time. 18-20% of the time to be called in.

Meal, room, and board are provided while on call.Scrub Color: No specific scrub color.Department specific orientation: 1st day: Hospital Orientation and given a manual that can be referenced at any time. 1 week of orientation with a preceptor, After initial training, the traveler is expected to be able to jump in and help tech when exams come through for the first couple of weeks to learn our processes and exam sets. On call starts after 3 weeks on-site.
