Firm Comptroller & Human Resource LeadReports To: Chief Operating OfficerJob Description Summary: The Comptroller & Human Resource Lead will manage the daily finances and human resources functions as well as drive firm-wide projects to execution. Areas of focus will be: expense payments, P&L statement, balance sheet preparations, billing, vendor management, human resource policies and procedures, assist CPA / tax firms, regulatory audit coordination and insurance coverage.Principal responsibilities:Monitor, develop and oversee all Finance functions, using QuickbooksAssist COO with daily accounting and expense managementSupport and lead Human Resources efforts as well as develop and maintain policies and proceduresAssist compliance officer with written document of manuals and filings for firmAssist in developing firm HR and Finance training needsAssist representatives with presentations that will grow and retain clients and prospectsManage reconciliation process; credit and bank statementsAssist in monitoring of firm metrics; asset under management, net asset flowsAssist with quarterly billing routine; Preparation, review and approvalUse a fiduciary mindset while working with internal and external clientsProvide back-up coverage of critical functions when requiredRequired knowledge/skills/competencies:BS/BA in Accounting / Finance or Business Administration7 plus years' experience in firm accounting function; CPA is preferred but not requiredHuman resources understanding is preferred, but not requiredDetail oriented, strong math, decision making and analytical skillsStrong technical skills, including PC, Internet, and software skills (Quickbooks is required)Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsAbility to effectively convey complex objectives into discrete steps and tasks to facilitate successful implementationDimensions:Motivated / dedicatedGrow with firmPositive feedback/experienceQuality processes and repetitive results
