In this pivotal leadership role, you'll oversee all compounding department operations while ensuring strict adherence to FDA cGMP standards and customer specifications.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to grow into a strategic leadership position where your decisions directly impact product quality, team performance, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate all compounding department activities, including developing weekly schedules, creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and documenting departmental training sessionsEnforce strict compliance with FDA cGMP regulations, company SOPs, and customer specifications across all operationsLead the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new compounding department personnelConduct performance evaluations and support disciplinary actions while fostering a culture of continuous improvementDevelop and execute training programs that build team capabilities and drive organizational excellenceCreate and manage weekly production schedules that optimize resource allocation and meet departmental requirementsAudit manufacturing personnel performance to ensure adherence to customer specifications and established proceduresConduct safety audits on raw material handling and equipment usage to maintain a secure work environmentPerform routine raw material inventory audits to ensure accurate record-keeping and accountabilityAudit completed batches for compliance and verify proper documentation proceduresCoordinate and direct calibration of departmental equipment to maintain operational precisionProvide hands-on support to team members in executing assigned tasks and overcoming operational challengesTroubleshoot and resolve departmental issues using analytical and practical problem-solving approachesDevelop, review, and edit new or revised company SOPs to reflect best practices and regulatory requirementsEvaluate new projects for potential obstacles and recommend solutions to enhance effectiveness and efficiencyCollaborate directly with potential and existing customers on new and ongoing projectsCommunicate project status updates to project management and leadership teamsCoordinate preventative maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtimeLead product nonconformance investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actionsIdentify opportunities to reduce labor costs and improve compounding efficiencyProvide management with product yield information and performance metrics for budgeting and planning purposesCommunicate effectively with all organizational levels to ensure alignment and transparencyPerform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goalsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience working in a compounding department within a manufacturing facilityProven management and people leadership skills with demonstrated success in supervising teamsExcellent proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking EnglishStrong reading comprehension skills with the ability to understand complex technical documentationAbility to prepare reports, training records, and operational manualsProficiency in basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentagesGood mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilitiesSafe operation of forklifts or pallet moversSelf-motivated with the ability to derive satisfaction from successful project completionFormal training or certification as a Chemweigh Technician and/or CompounderFlexibility to work varying shifts, schedules, and overtime as required by manufacturing demandsWorking knowledge of standard office software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applicationsThorough working knowledge of FDA Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as applied to compounding operationsAbility to maintain a neat, professional appearance at all timesCapacity to conduct responsibilities with professionalism, confidence, and maturityPreferred QualificationsExperience with quality management systems and regulatory compliance documentationBackground in process improvement methodologies or lean manufacturingPrevious experience in a supervisory or team lead capacityFamiliarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) softwareCertification in relevant manufacturing or quality disciplinesWhy Join Accupac?Accupac is a leader in specialized manufacturing, committed to delivering exceptional quality and service to our customers.
