If you're ready to create excitement and drive what's next in the industry, we'd love to hear from you.The Compounding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Automated Pouching Operations (APO) Compounding department, leading a team responsible for batching, blending, mixing, and staging raw materials used in manufacturing finished products. This position ensures production schedules are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, product quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sanitation, inventory accuracy, and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all batching, weighing, measuring, blending, and mixing activities to ensure compliance with approved formulas, production orders, and manufacturing specificationsEnsure raw materials are properly received, identified, staged, verified, and consumed using established inventory control and traceability proceduresMonitor compounding processes to ensure ingredient incorporation, product consistency, and adherence to manufacturing standardsCoordinate material availability with Warehouse, Planning, and Production to support uninterrupted manufacturing operationsMonitor production performance and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime, waste, and production delaysEnsure completed batches are accurately documented and transferred to production in accordance with established proceduresEnsure all compounding activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety requirements, sanitation standards, and company policiesReview batch records, production documentation, inventory transactions, and material traceability records for accuracy and completenessLead investigations into product deviations, process failures, material discrepancies, and quality concernsConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve operational performancePartner with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compounds meet product specifications prior to release to manufacturingSupport internal and external quality, food safety, and regulatory auditsCollaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Production leadership to resolve operational challengesSupport new product launches, process validations, equipment installations, and operational improvement projectsCommunicate production status, material shortages, equipment issues, staffing concerns, and operational risks to leadershipOversee cleaning and sanitation of mixing equipment, tanks, utensils, material handling equipment, and production areas to prevent cross-contaminationPromote and enforce all company safety policies and OSHA requirementsSupervise, coach, develop, and evaluate Compounders and other assigned production employeesSchedule and assign daily work activities to ensure adequate staffing and production coverage across all shiftsQualificationsAssociate degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Quality Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing leadership experience5+ years of manufacturing experience in a consumer packaged goods (CPG), food, beverage, tobacco, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing environment2+ years of supervisory or leadership experienceExperience leading compounding, batching, blending, or ingredient preparation operationsWorking knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sanitation programs, food safety requirements, and manufacturing quality systemsExperience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actionsUnderstanding of inventory control, raw material traceability, and production documentationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organizationProficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Food Science, Quality Management, or a related fieldExperience supervising compounding or batching operations within a regulated manufacturing environmentExperience supporting FDA, GMP, OSHA, HACCP, or other regulatory compliance programsExperience leading teams within a union manufacturing environmentExperience with ERP, MES, or inventory management systemsForklift certification or experience overseeing material handling operationsWhat We OfferBase salary and bonus programMedical, dental, vision, life insurance effective on date of hireGenerous 401(k) PlanDefined Contribution PlanPaid vacation and paid holidaysTuition reimbursementProfessional growth and development programs to help advance your career!Official Contact InformationEmail: All official emails will come from an @Swisher.com addressWebsite: Verify job listings and contact details on We will never contact you via Teams, Zoom, or Google Meets.
