A Compounding Operator I performs extrusion processes based on specifications provided by engineering. Following process sheets and supervisor instructions, they complete production tasks and inspect results to ensure they meet predetermined tolerances.What you will be doing:Sets up and operates a variety of machines used in the production of the company's materialsResponsible to meet the established production schedule for each assigned line of materialWill feed materials for processing, mix resin based on specified work instructions from engineeringAdjusting settings based on documented specifications and tolerancesPerforming minor repairs and troubleshooting and pulling finished product from the lineDocumentation of all line data sheets on individual assigned linesIdentify and report issues with quality and out of specification filamentMaintain a 5S work cellMaintain other work in assigned areas during periods of downtime or extended product run timeMaintain all process certifications for packaging and extrusionMust have for this role:2-4 years in a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of computers to be able to: send and receive emails, use ADP/HR management systemsAbility to read and understand work instructions to be able to achieve production goalsNice to have:Demonstrated experience on extrusion linesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
