Compounding ManagerThe Compounding Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities and schedule in the Compounding and Pre-Weigh areas. Supervises and leads compounders and Pre-Weigh employees ensuring that they adhere to safety requirements, batch instructions, and schedule.Reports to:Senior Director of ManufacturingResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Manage compounders and pre-weighers to the maximization of their jobs, building a strong cohesive teamUnderstand and work with compounders on labor utilization and throughput of tanks for best tank utilizationHire and train new talent to become compounders and pre-weighersManage tanks and the bulk schedule to maximum efficiency and quality"Flex" schedule when it grows or changes to maximize batching and tank utilizationManage coordination with Bulk Scheduler to meet all due dates and Customer ServicePartnership with R&D to apply and sustain best practices in the compounding areaAnalyze processes to facilitate, train and implement process improvementsAssist in any Capital or repair equipment itemsAssist in making budgets for your departmentManage spending within the budget you help developManage Safety Culture every day in your department and with your peopleGive performance evaluations, coaching, and administer discipline when warrantedProvide supplies to make sure the departments operate accordingly (e.g. bags, storage containers, degreaser, pipets, etc.)Perform some responsibilities within payroll and HR (e.g.

check timecards; approve, and coordinate PTO within the teams, etc.)Assist and support other departments (such as: QC, warehouse, chemical receiving, R&D, Bulk, Production)Stimulate a good work environmentLead and coach team members in conflicts resolution (discipline and find solutions)Experience/Skills:Excellent mathematical skillsAbility to read and interpret instructionsKnowledge of weights and measures and the ability to compare themKnowledge of finished blends and raw blends preferredSome mechanical experience preferredAbility to lift 50 lbs. and roll a 300 lb. drumSuperior communication skills (verbal and written)Knowledge and experience with supervising and managing peopleTeam PlayerDetail Oriented and able to multi-task8 plus years of experienceAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentRequires standing, lifting, and pullingPerform other duties as requiredEducation:2 Years of College completed or equivalent life experienceEqual Employment OpportunityCosmetic Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
