Join us.Position: Composite TechnicianLocation: Irvine, CAWork Arrangement: On-sitePosition Description: DZYNE Technologies is seeking a Composite Technician for full time employment in our composite shop. We are looking for and willing to train exceptional individuals for composite lamination and finish positions. The Composite Technician in this position will be responsible for the creation, modification of composite structures for use on manned and unmanned aircraft in accordance with DOD.Required Skills and Responsibilities:4-6 Years relative successful work experiencePerform hand lay-up of wet-lay composite materialsMust have mechanical assembly experience, exposure to composites work, preparing and using bonding materialsCutting and trimming of composite parts to close tolerances using hand tools such as hand router, hand drill, hand sander and inspection equipmentStructural bonding and fastening of composite assemblies, including surface preparation for bondingThe ability work closely with others in a team orientated work environmentMust be able to verbally communicate, read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, detailed blueprints and other similar authorized drawings and documents, and be capable of doing basic mathematical calculationsAble to work extended hours as required. Perform other duties as directed by supervision and management for the benefit of the company, program, or employee(s)Preferred Skills/Qualifications:A & P license or military aircraft experience a plusExperience with assembly of Aerospace structures including setup, bonding and fastener applicationsLaser projection experience is a plusFamiliarity with pneumatic drill motors, 90 degrees drill motor, rivet gun and sets, dye grinders, countersinks, cages and standard hand tools, nut plate installs, Hi-locks, riveting.Assemble Aircraft components using structural adhesives, rivets and threaded fastenersAutomated ply cutter experience a plusKnowledge of aircraft hardware and materials and processes Drill, ream, countersink holes in proper sequence and to correct size using hand and self-feed drill motorsApply sealant, iodine, primer, adhesives and other special finishesExperience gained through the military or within an aviation manufacturing company is a plusUse precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, micrometers and calipersKnowledge of Surface prep, using grit blast, hand abrade and power abrasion techniquesEducation/Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent.Clearance Level Required: NoneTravel: Up to 5%Working Conditions:The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment or warehouse.Work performed may be in a harsh climate, and often hazardous situations. While performing the duties of this position, may regularly be exposed to an extreme and austere desert environment.Physical Demands:Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spineInvolves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.Ability to travel to remote and sometimes austere CONUS locations for flight test activitiesExport Control / ITAR Requirement: This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

In addition to the hourly rate, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
