This role supports the manufacture of primary structures, tanks, and secondary hardware from raw fiber through delivery to integration. Technicians at this level demonstrate strong technical skill and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Location: Briggs, TX (north of Cedar Park)ResponsibilitiesCut and kit composite materials to tight tolerancesPerform bonding operations including surface prep and adhesive applicationExecute hand lamination of carbon, fiberglass, Kevlar, film adhesives, and core materialsPerform full vacuum bag cure cycles including debulking and oven monitoringCure materials per manufacturer specificationsIdentify scarf back plies (scarfing) as requiredInterpret composite layup drawings and manufacturing instructionsEnsure material traceability in compliance with AS9100Support process improvements and efficiency initiativesMaintain shop organization and PPE complianceQualifications2+ years of composite manufacturing experienceExperience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing preferredDemonstrated ability to independently execute composite buildsProficient use of pneumatic tools, hand tools, and precision measurement instrumentsAbility to read and interpret composite layup and assembly printsExperience working with material data sheetsStrong craftsmanship and attention to detailFirefly offers outstanding benefits for our employees, including generous health, dental and vision plans with low plan deductibles, parental leave, educational reimbursement, short term disability, pet Insurance, and flexible PTO options.To conform to U.S.
