Join a team pushing the boundaries of advanced composites and building the future of the industry!Position OverviewThe Lamination Lead will assist the Production Supervisor in organizing and maintaining efficient operations within the Lamination department. This role is responsible for overseeing daily lamination processes, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols. The Lamination Lead will train and supervise team members, assist with troubleshooting production issues, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and management to ensure smooth workflow and meet production goals.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Production Supervisor in introducing new parts and processes, providing necessary training to ensure smooth transitions.Supervise and train employees on Autoclave cure cycles, ensuring proper loading/unloading in compliance with safety standards.Coordinate with the Production Supervisor on cure cycles to maintain efficiency and consistency.Support material inventory control, notifying the team when materials are low and minimizing waste.Assist with quoting processes and track manufacturing times for new parts and molds, ensuring accurate reporting.Ensure adherence to operational procedures, reporting any discrepancies to the Production Supervisor.Reinforce the importance of following safe work practices to maintain a productive work environment.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, addressing non-compliance with cleaning protocols.Foster a positive work environment, reporting inappropriate behaviors or violations to the Production Supervisor.Ensure employees wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and address violations promptly.Supervise GSS system processes and perform daily balancing to ensure system accuracy.Complete employee performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback for their development.Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to suggest operational improvements and ensure optimal team performance.What You Will Bring to the TeamMinimum of five (5) years' experience in composite manufacturing.Minimum high school diploma or GED required.Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.).Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Positive, "can-do" attitude with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in challenging situations.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines.Availability as needed to meet production requirements and timelines.Due to ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident StatusOur Investment in YouRelocation ReimbursementComprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.401(k) matching after 6 months tenurePaid time off (PTO) for vacation and sick daysEmployee referral program$3 Shift differential for 2nd shift employeesPotential to earn quarterly discretionary bonuses based on company performanceDiscounts on select services/productsClimate-controlled work environmentHours of Operation1st Shift: 7:00AM – 4:00PM; 2nd Shift: 4:00PM – 1:00PM; Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled by leadership.
