Key responsibilities
- Developing and tracking Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) metrics
- Performing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Designing and executing reliability tests
- Conducting failure analysis (RCA)
- Driving continuous product and process improvement in collaboration with suppliers and Meta's internal cross-functional teams
- Establishing in-house testing capabilities
- Generating detailed reports
- Coordinating and managing global suppliers on manufacturing processes and mass production readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Sciences and Engineering, and/or related field 8+ years of experience in the development and validation of optical communication components such as lasers, transmitters, receivers, and transceivers
- 5+ years of experience in high-speed optical and electrical test and measurement equipment, control, data acquisition and test automation
- Programming skills in one or more of the following: Python or MATLAB
- Experience with optical integration, including InP PICs, Silicon-photonic PICs, PIC-IC integration, and 3D optical/silicon packaging technologies
- Experience with advanced modulation formats, direct detect and coherent systems (e.g., NRZ, PAM-4, QPSK, 8-QAM, 16QAM)
- Experience in high-speed optical and electrical test (both component and system level) and test automation
- Experience in creating or influencing product reliability test strategies and methodologies
