Detail-oriented and compliance-focused, the part-time Compliance Assistant will monitor suspicious account activity, ensure adherence to banking regulations, and assist with legal document processing in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities Monitor and analyze suspicious account activity using compliance software to detect potential financial crimes Process federal FinCEN Section 314(a) information requests accurately and within regulatory timelines Assist with the collection and organization of documents related to legal subpoenas and garnishments Required qualifications Minimum of 1 year of operations or compliance experience within a bank or credit union Understanding of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and anti-money laundering (AML) frameworks High school diploma or equivalent qualification Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Prior experience with Verafin or similar BSA monitoring platforms is preferred
