Benefits SpecialistThe Benefits SpecialistAdminister and support the company's employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations to ensure accuracy and timely processing.Assist with open enrollment planning, communication, and system updates.Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and payroll deductions with accounting to ensure accurate premium payments.Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions, eligibility, and coverage details.Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance with applicable benefits regulations.Compliance & ReportingEnsure compliance with the FLSA and all federal, state, and local wage-and-hour laws.Manage payroll-related compliance reporting, including:W-2 and year-end payroll reportingACA reporting (1094/1095 forms)SUTA and state unemployment filingsNew hire reportingCoordinate year-end payroll verification processes, including employee data, earnings, deductions, accruals, and tax rates.Assist with internal and external payroll audits and provide supporting documentation.Process and manage Workers' Compensation claims and assist with audit requests.Handle employment verifications in compliance with company policy and legal requirements.Systems & CoordinationCollaborate with Human Resources, Accounting, and Operations to ensure accurate employee data flow and payroll updates.Maintain and organize electronic employee personnel files and payroll documentation.Assist with payroll system setup for new store locations in coordination with the payroll provider.Support payroll and benefits system updates, reporting, and troubleshooting as needed.Qualifications & RequirementsApplicants with experience processing end-of-year reporting, including 5500, 1095, and 941 quarterly reports, will be strongly considered.3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably supporting a large workforce.Experience with benefits administration preferred.Paycom experience strongly preferred.Working knowledge of payroll compliance, wage and hour laws, and payroll tax reporting.Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion and integrity.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
