Complex Commercial Litigation Associate

A leading Am Law 100 firm is seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its established Litigation Practice in Chicago. This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of sophisticated litigation matters, including complex commercial disputes, mass torts, product liability and high-stakes business litigation. The position offers substantial hands-on litigation experience, direct client interaction and the opportunity to take meaningful responsibility across all stages of the litigation process.

Represent clients in complex commercial litigation, mass torts, product liability and other business disputes. Manage all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment and factual investigations through discovery, trial preparation and resolution. Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive legal documents. Conduct and defend depositions, manage discovery and coordinate document production. Develop litigation strategies and provide practical, commercially focused advice to clients. 3–6 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, ideally gained within a reputable law firm.

Experience handling substantive aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice and trial preparation.

Experience in mass torts and product liability litigation is advantageous.

Exposure to administrative proceedings, arbitration or mediation is beneficial.

Active Illinois or Delaware Bar admission, or a commitment to obtaining admission as soon as possible.

Excellent academic credentials, legal research and written advocacy skills.
