Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex executive compensation consulting engagements for public and private company clients.
- Advise clients on executive compensation strategy, philosophy, and program design.
- Develop and evaluate peer groups for executive compensation benchmarking.
- Conduct executive and director compensation analyses and market benchmarking.
- Design annual incentive plans and long-term incentive compensation programs.
- Provide guidance on equity compensation programs and equity valuation considerations.
- Advise clients on compensation governance policies and proxy/disclosure requirements.
- Serve as the primary advisor and trusted point of contact for senior-level client relationships.
- Lead presentations and facilitate discussions with executive leadership teams, Compensation Committees, and Boards of Directors.
- Monitor and advise clients on emerging compensation trends, governance developments, regulatory changes, and shareholder expectations.
- Partner with clients to develop strategic compensation solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Support business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with executive-level clients and key stakeholders.
- Mentor, coach, and develop junior consultants and team members.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality client service and innovative compensation solutions.
Requirements include
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- MBA, CPA, CFA, JD, or other advanced professional credential preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of executive compensation, total rewards, or compensation consulting experience.
- Extensive experience advising public and private companies on executive and director compensation.
- Experience designing annual and long-term incentive compensation programs.
- Experience with executive compensation benchmarking, peer group development, and market analysis.
- Demonstrated experience presenting to executive leadership teams, Compensation Committees, and Boards of Directors.
- Proven success developing and managing senior-level client relationships.
- Experience contributing to business development, proposal creation, and client acquisition efforts.
