As a fully outpatient facility, you will be engaging with clients primarily via telehealth, making it essential to be comfortable with virtual communication tools. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough preliminary assessments and document the entire course of treatment from the first consultation through to the conclusion of care. Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to inform intervention strategies. Develop, implement, and adjust personalized intervention and recovery plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches and therapeutic techniques tailored to client needs. Monitor client progress meticulously throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes. Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, for the integrated care of clients. Follow-up on clients hospitalized for mental health issues, ensuring seamless communication with prior care providers. Identify potential barriers to recovery, actively working to mitigate behaviors inhibiting client progress. Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and various mental health disorders. Our holistic approach focuses on understanding each client's unique story and developing tailored strategies that foster healing and resilience. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Professional (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, LCPC) within Nevada is essential. Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) with a passing score. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and empathy when conveying sensitive information. Strong interpersonal skills and an inherent ability to connect with clients from various backgrounds. Preferred Experience A minimum of two years of experience as a mental health counselor is preferred, with demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic techniques. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, as well as familiarity with best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). Experience working with patients with dual diagnoses, including emotional health conditions and addiction disorders, is advantageous. An in-depth understanding of pharmacological concepts and the impact of medications prescribed by other healthcare professionals enhances therapeutic efficacy. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
