Companion Caregiver Position

We are seeking a compassionate, friendly, and engaging Companion Caregiver to provide meaningful companionship and emotional support to seniors living at home. This role focuses on building genuine relationships, encouraging social engagement, promoting independence, and assisting with light daily living activities in a safe and respectful manner.

Key Responsibilities

- Companionship & Emotional Support

• Provide warm, consistent companionship throughout each shift.
• Engage in meaningful conversation, active listening, and social interaction.
• Encourage laughter, hobbies, and enjoyable daily activities.
• Read books, mail, or other materials when needed.
• Accompany clients on walks, community outings, or religious services as appropriate.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and relationship-centered environment.

- Daily Living Support

• Provide standby assistance with walking and mobility.
• Offer light assistance with dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene as needed.
• Support safe transfers and encourage independence whenever possible.
• Promote client dignity, choice, and autonomy in all interactions.

- Light Homemaking

• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Tidy commonly used living spaces.
• Clean up after meals and help maintain an organized home.
• Assist with simple household tasks such as reaching items or opening containers.
