The Community Resource Director manages all aspects of the community resources, community-based participatory partnerships and linkages including
- Work closely with partners to develop the community-based initiative and sustain the organizational vision
- Build and sustain successful relationships with schools, universities, and community stakeholders
- Engage partners, community organizations, businesses, parents, students, and linked partners in expanding opportunities for service
- Generate and support partnership opportunities that align with organizational goals and objectives
- Recruit residents to participate in activities; Assist in the development of appropriate recruitment and retention strategies
- Solicit and coordinate internal and external service providers
- Coordinate coalition activities and manage the operation and resource allocation in collaboration with the oversight provided by the Associate Director, Executive Director and Director of Operations
- Support a community coalition that supports program development and assessment
- Engage teaches, community organizations and partners in developing engagement opportunities for community members
- Complete and submit all required administrative documentation and reporting requirements
- Participate in all meetings and professional development activities associated with the Community-Based Participatory Partnership initiative as required. Act as liaison with City, State & Federal departments, outside agencies, volunteers and citizens
This is a remote/virtual position however, the preferred candidate will live/work in the Chicagoland area.
Work Experience
- Knowledge of community partnership program strategies that serve low/middle-income communities
- Experience with urban public education and youth development practices
- Experience organizing individuals, groups, and organizations toward articulated goals
- Minimum of two years professional experience in not for profit organizations, youth development, social work, community organizing or related field
- Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with or knowledge of special education is a plus Certificates/Credentials/Licenses-Excellent Computer Skills MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint Supervisory Responsibilities
Education
Must have a High school diploma or a GED coupled with a combination of workshops, seminars, and/or courses in management or business and three years of supervisory or management
