Onsite Part Time Pet Services

Part-time with potential to grow into a full-time role

Jasper is a pet loss grief community and platform built to support people through the loss of a pet. Our membership includes live support groups, grief coaches, wellness tools, resources, and a peer community of people who understand what this loss actually feels like.

We’re looking for a Community Manager to help us create a thoughtful, connected experience for Jasper members and support day-to-day operations of our growing community.

This is a part-time role to start, with the potential to grow into a full-time position. You’ll work closely with Jasper’s Founder & CEO and our team of grief coaches.

What you’ll do

Community

  • Engage with members inside the Jasper community
  • Welcome new members and help them get orientated and comfortable participating
  • Respond to member posts, questions, and messages with warmth, care, and good judgement
  • Create and post community prompts, announcements, reminders, and updates
  • Pay attention to member feedback, recurring questions, and areas where we can improve the member experience
  • Flag sensitive member situations or questions that should be escalated to a coach or other team members

  • Support groups + programming

    • Coordinate Jasper’s support groups and other member programming
    • Work directly with our grief coaches on scheduling, logistics, and member communication
    • Manage group calendars, RSVPs, reminders, links, and follow-up
    • Keep programming information and internal trackers organized and up to date
    • Help identify what members are asking for and where we may need additional groups, topics, or programming

  • Social + community insights

    • Engage with the Jasper community across social platforms, including comments and DMs
    • Respond thoughtfully to people sharing experiences with pet loss and grief
    • Help identify member stories, conversations, questions, and insights that could inform Jasper’s content and programming
    • Surface relevant community feedback and trends to the Founder & CEO

    Who we’re looking for

You may come from community management, member experience, customer success, program coordination, events, operations, or project management. We care less about having one specific job title and more about whether you’ve done work that required you to take care of people while keeping the details organized.

Ideally, you have 2+ years of relevant professional experience and:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience communicating directly with members, customers, clients, or another community
    • Strong judgment and emotional intelligence, particularly when conversations are personal or sensitive
    • The ability to communicate with empathy without sounding scripted or overly formal
    • Strong organizational and follow-through skills
    • Experience coordinating calendars, events, programs, or recurring communications
    • The ability to spot a problem early, communicate it clearly, and help figure out what needs to happen next
    • Comfort working independently and closely with a founder in a small, growing company
    • Genuine interest in Jasper’s mission and in creating a high-quality member experience

Because Jasper supports people through grief, this role requires someone who is comfortable being around difficult conversations. You do not need to be a grief professional, and you will not be expected to provide clinical guidance or counseling.

    Technology

You should be comfortable learning new systems and working across several digital platforms.

Experience with some combination of the following is helpful:

    • Online community platforms such as Mighty Networks, Circle, etc.
    • Zoom or other virtual event platforms
    • Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and Drive
    • Slack or similar team communication tools
    • Asana, Airtable, Notion, or similar organizational and project management tools
    • Canva or similar design tools
    • AI tools such as ChatGPT and comfort using them to work more efficiently
    • Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook from a community engagement perspective

You do not need to know every platform we use on day one. You should be comfortable learning technology quickly and keeping information organized across different systems.

    About Jasper

Jasper was built around a simple belief: pet grief is not small grief, and no one should have to carry it alone.

We’re building a place where people can find real support, connect with others who understand, and move through grief in a way that feels right for them.

    Role details
    • Part-time to start
    • Potential to grow into a full-time role
    • Reports directly to the Founder & CEO
