DESCRIPTION:
Oversees daily facility operations and serves as the primary liaison between the department, the community, and external partners. Ensures a high level of customer service by monitoring operations, resolving escalated concerns, and implementing service improvements. Oversees front office operations to ensure efficient workflow, customer flow, and service delivery. Coordinates operational activities, monitors workflow, and assists management with planning and implementing operational improvements. Investigates and resolves complex operational and customer service issues requiring independent judgment and cross-functional coordination. Oversees daily facility operations, coordinates resources, monitors readiness, and serves as the on-site operational lead. Plans, coordinates, and leads community outreach events, educational activities, and public engagement initiatives. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations, City departments, healthcare providers, and external stakeholders. Provides functional oversight, guidance, and support to Customer Service Representatives and other front office staff while coordinating daily operations. Collects and analyzes operational data, identifies trends, prepares reports, and recommends process improvements to management. Represents the department at meetings, community events, stakeholder groups, and collaborative initiatives. Exercises independent judgment in prioritizing work, coordinating operations, resolving issues, and recommending improvements. Must have a valid Texas Driver's license and comply with AP 2- policy. Will work varies location as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Business Administration or a related field.
EXPERIENCE : Two years of experience in community organizational work, resource and referral services, or a closely related field are required.
SUBSTITUTION : Professional experience related to the type of work to be performed may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: The position is physically comfortable, the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc .
WORK ENVIRONMENT : There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions .
PHYSICAL SKILL: Requires the ability to make coordinated gross motor movements in response to changing external stimuli within moderately demanding tolerances; or the ability to make coordinated eye/hand movements on a patterned response space within low tolerance demands with no real speed requirements.
