Communications CoordinatorThe communications coordinator supports the Bank's communications team targeting the Bank's members, its employees, and other external audiences through various media platforms. This position is a visible role so a successful candidate must exhibit a high level of professionalism and be a steward of the Bank's mission, vision, and corporate brand. This role will make an impact by:Delivering daily coordination and support to a cross-functional team through administration maintenance, research, content traffic management, tracker updates and reportingCreating meaningful written, editorial, graphic design, creative, social, scripting, and visual content to show the value of FHLBank Chicago for its members and their communitiesResponsibilities include:Supporting communications managers on the execution of the strategic goals of the communications department; leveraging strategic prioritization skills to help the team focus on high-impact tasks.Maintaining team calendars, shared mailboxes, agendas, reports, creating structured communication rhythms (huddles, check-ins) to keep momentum, document specific next steps, assign owners, and deadlines.Capturing stats as needed for quarterly reporting and required metrics, using data-driven decision making to measure the effectiveness of team efforts and justify priorities.Partnering with internal stakeholders to successfully execute the business unit's internal and external communications content and initiatives.Creating and publishing content for website, employee intranet, digital and social distribution channels, graphic design supportSupporting the Bank's member events by managing the Bank's events calendar and generating social media content.Contributing to the production of marketing communications materials, graphic designs, presentations, and publications.Assisting in the implementation of internal employee engagement campaigns, in-office screens, building surveys and on-site all staff meetings and calls.Other tasks as assigned.Education and experience include:1-3 years experience in communications, public relations, social media, marketing, or related fieldBachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or other Business discipline from an accredited college or university or 1-3 years of equivalent experienceKnowledge and abilities include:Highly organized and excellent project management skills; flexibility to manage multiple projects (tasks, timelines and deadlines)Ability to drive creative solutions and deliver results in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem solving abilities and ability to work independentlyDemonstrated knowledge and execution of internal and external communications, writing, editingExcellent communications skills with strong writing, design and content development skills and social media acumenCapacity to develop relationships with business unit stakeholders and communications managersContent management system (Progress Sitefinity) and html email marketing program experience a plusExpertise in Airtable and familiarity with communications platforms, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SharePoint, Sprout Social, and Google Analytics.Expertise in designing in Canva and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite products preferred (Photoshop and InDesign)Proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)
