Communications Associate

We're hiring: Communications Associate at SHIK Consulting Group (On-site | DMV Area)

At SHIK Consulting Group, we bring client campaigns directly to people through face-to-face marketing, community outreach, and live customer engagement. Our approach is straightforward: communicate clearly, listen carefully, and help people make informed decisions.

We're looking for a Communications Associate who enjoys meeting new people, connecting with different audiences, and gaining hands-on experience in a people-focused communications and marketing environment.

What you'll do

• Represent client campaigns through direct, face-to-face interactions at assigned locations across the DMV area.
• Communicate key messages about brands, services, or community initiatives in a clear and engaging way.
• Start conversations, answer questions, and help people understand what each campaign offers.
• Support customer or supporter acquisition by turning genuine interest into action.
• Work toward campaign goals while maintaining a professional and positive customer experience.
• Share feedback from the field and collaborate with your team to improve campaign communication and results.

What we're looking for

• Someone who enjoys interacting with people and feels comfortable starting conversations.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to listen as well as explain.
• A dependable, positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Confidence working in an active, on-site environment rather than a desk-based role.
• Openness to feedback, coaching, and working toward shared goals.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or community outreach can be especially useful.

Compensation and what you'll gain

• Weekly base pay: $600-700
• Commission: $50-180 per sale
• Expected weekly income: $600-800, including applicable commissions
• Pay frequency: Weekly
• Practical experience in client communications, face-to-face marketing, and customer engagement.
• Coaching and feedback to help strengthen your communication, interpersonal, and campaign skills.
• Experience working with a team that values preparation, consistency, and continuous improvement.
