This expertise assures you of our ability to handle the largest and most complex packages quickly and efficiently.Job DutiesDevelop and execute commodity strategies aligned with company growth, cost, and operational goalsLead sourcing events (RFQs/RFPs), supplier selection, and contract negotiationsManage supplier relationships, including performance (OTD, quality, cost) and capacity planningOwn supplier, pricing, and lead time accuracy in the ERP system to support quoting, planning, and purchasing executionIdentify and mitigate supply chain risks, including long lead-time and single-source dependenciesDrive cost reduction initiatives, including value engineering and should-cost analysisPartner with Engineering and Estimating to support quoting, BOM accuracy, and component standardizationMonitor market trends (steel, copper, electrical components, etc.) and adjust sourcing strategies accordinglySupport production ramp-ups by ensuring supplier readiness and capacity alignmentImplement and maintain supplier scorecards and continuous improvement plansCollaborate with Buyers and Materials teams to resolve escalations and ensure execution of procurement strategyPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business objectivesPreferred ExperienceBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience managing commodities such as metals (steel), copper, or electrical componentsBackground in supplier development and continuous improvement initiativesFamiliarity with contract terms, incoterms, and commercial agreementsExperience implementing or working with supplier scorecards and KPI trackingLean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement experience
