Commodity Manager, Electromechanical ManufacturingGeorgetown, TX or San Carlos, CA We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Commodity Manager to support sourcing and supplier management across electromechanical components and manufacturing commodities. This role is ideal for someone with experience in high-volume manufacturing environments who understands both the business and technical side of sourcing engineered products and materials. You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and Finance teams to support production, new product development, and long-term supply chain strategy.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop sourcing strategies for electromechanical commodities and engineered componentsManage supplier relationships, negotiations, pricing, and contractsSupport new product introduction (NPI) and production scaling activitiesPartner with internal teams to improve cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuityMonitor market trends, supplier performance, and material risksDrive cost reduction and operational improvement initiativesManage RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier communications within the ERP/MRP systemMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Experience/Education6+ years of experience in Commodity Management, Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain within a manufacturing environmentBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferredBilingual in Mandarin is a must as this person will be leading all sourcing and negotiations with suppliers in AsiaExperience sourcing electromechanical, mechanical, or electronic componentsUnderstanding of manufacturing processes such as stamping, molding, machining, cable assemblies, PCBAs, or related technologiesStrong negotiation and supplier management skillsExperience working in ERP/MRP systemsAbility to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environmentExperience working with suppliers based in Asia.Fluency in Mandarin is preferred.Preferred Backgrounds Experience supporting industries such as:EV or automotiveData centers or power systemsIndustrial equipmentElectronics manufacturingAerospace or advanced manufacturingLocationOn-site in San Carlos, CA, or Georgetown, TXPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
