We are looking for motivated candidates who can grow with this department and be a self-starter. The selected applicant will provide project management and oversight for commissioning, retro-commissioning, and energy audit projects.

Experience performing commissioning services, and cost/benefit analyses on energy improvements is a requirement for applying to this position.This position may require you to oversee and perform field inspections of government, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and institutional properties. A successful candidate has past experience in performing functional testing and building inspections for a wide array of building systems to include but not be limited to Air Handling Units, Chilled Water Systems, Hot Water Systems, Steam Systems, Power Distribution, Plumbing, and Emergency Systems.As part of the position you will regularly conduct commissioning progress and issue resolution meetings with federal and private sector clients. The ideal candidate will be adaptive to working with all property types, and knowledgeable with regard to a general variety of HVAC and building systems.The successful candidate may also be expected help perform commissioning activities such as construction document review, construction field installation verification, and equipment functional testing.RequirementsProject management and project reportingCommissioning of new construction buildings.Retro-commissioning experience and ECM DeterminationKnowledgeable of building HVAC, Plumbing, and Power systemsPerformance of energy audits (ASHRAE Level I, II, and III)An ABET accredited bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering PreferredAn understanding of and experience with a variety of HVAC systemsFamiliarity with ASHRAE standardsFamiliarity with ICC Building, Mechanical and Green Energy CodesExperience performing whole building energy modeling a plusCommissioning certification a plus (CxA, QxCP, CCCP, NEBB)Excellent report writing skills, computer and internet skillsExcellent communication and management skillsExcellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to complete assignments on-time and within budgetAbility to utilize ladders, scaffolding and other vertical support systems as part of construction inspections.Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and spend several hours standing at any time.Communication, Language, and Software Skills:Ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills.Educational Requirements:BS in Engineering or related fieldsRegistration Requirements:EIT Required, PE Preferred, Commissioning Certification a PlusBenefits:401(k)Annual Profit-Sharing contribution to 401(k)10 Paid Federal HolidaysHealth InsuranceDental InsurancePaid Time OffOptional Benefits:Accident CoverageVision InsuranceShort Term DisabilityTerm Life InsuranceMedical BridgeCritical IllnessAny and all job offers are contingent pending work status eligibility and passing a federal government background check
