Practice Area: Commercial Litigation
Steptoe LLP seeks an associate with 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience to join the Firm's Commercial Trials & Litigation practice group in our Houston office. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex commercial disputes and be ready to assume significant responsibility in managing matters. Candidates should have substantive litigation experience, including experience taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive motions, and court hearings. Federal judicial clerkship experience is strongly preferred. This role offers meaningful opportunities to work directly with partners, clients, opposing counsel, and the courts. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and superior writing and analytical skills.
A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required, along with admission to the Texas Bar in active good standing.
We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits in a collegial environment that emphasizes training and mentorship. The anticipated salary range is $260,000 to $365,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on the applicant’s experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held.
