Job Title: Commercial Sales Manager - Large Cargo AirlinesReports to: VP Commercial SalesDepartment: Commercial SalesLocation: Ann Arbor, MI, OnsiteJob Summary:Avfuel is in search of an Area Sales Manager with a focus on Large Cargo Airlines. This role is based in Ann Arbor, MI.Duties/Responsibilities:Proactively acquire, develop, and retain high-value fuel accounts while cultivating long-term strategic partnerships.Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, driving revenue growth through market development and solution-oriented selling.Enhance existing sales forecasts and performance targets, using market intelligence and data analysis to guide entrepreneurial decision-making.Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales goals by maintaining existing business and growing the portfolio through proactive customer engagement.Collaborate cross-functionally with internal sales divisions to uncover new revenue streams.Develop market expertise across assigned airports and regions, identifying key influencers.Maintain a competitive edge through continuous research of industry news, competitor strategies, customer behaviors, and evolving industry dynamics.Exercise initiative in business support and prospecting within this segment, including strategic planning and execution.Travel regularly to engage customers face-to-face and uncover new market opportunities, including attending business events (approximately three days per week, every other week).Must be able to drive and fly without restrictions to effectively manage the assigned territory.Required Skills/Abilities:Experience in prospecting, sales and closing new businessAbility to perform calls to generate leadsAbility to perform analysis to qualify opportunitiesExcellent customer service and communication skillsStrong organization and time management skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentOutgoing personality and strong interpersonal skillsPrior 3-5 years outside sales experience is a plusEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degreeAviation experience including charter, aircraft or parts sales, dispatch and management is preferredEEO/AA
